Proclaiming Christ's Death and Resurrection...

Our goal is to reach the lost with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ, and to build believers in the faith.

Because we fear God

We know what it means to fear the Lord, so we try to help people accept the truth...  -2Co 5:11 ERV

In the past, God didn't judge people for what they didn't know. But now he commands all people everywhere to turn away from their sins. He has set a day when he will judge the world fairly. He has appointed a man to be its judge. God has proved this to all people by raising that man from the dead." -Act 17:30-31 NIrV

He will help you who are troubled. And he will also help us. All of those things will happen when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come in blazing fire. He will come with the angels who are given the power to do what God wants. He will punish those who don't know God. He will punish those who don't obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. They will be destroyed forever. They will be shut out of heaven. They will never see the glory of the Lord's power. -2Th 1:7-9 NIrV

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, -Heb 9:27 ESV

Because it saves the lost

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith."

-Rom 1:16-17 ESV

So faith comes from hearing the message. And the message that is heard is the word of Christ.  -Rom 10:17 NIrV

God wisely planned that the world would not know him through its own wisdom. It pleased God to use the foolish things we preach to save those who believe.  -1Co 1:21 NIrV

You have known the Holy Scriptures ever since you were a little child. They are able to teach you how to be saved by believing in Christ Jesus.  -2Ti 3:15 NIrV

Remember Jesus Christ. He came from David's family line. He was raised from the dead. That is my good news. I am suffering for it. I have even been put in chains like someone who has committed a crime. But God's word is not held back by chains. So I put up with everything for the good of God's chosen people. Then they also can be saved. Christ Jesus saves them. He gives them glory that will last forever. -2Ti 2:8-10 NIrV

Because it shows compassion

And the LORD said, "You pity the plant, for which you did not labor, nor did you make it grow, which came into being in a night and perished in a night. And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?"
-Jon 4:10-11 ESV

When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.
-Mar 6:34 ESV

"I tell you, it will be the same in heaven. There will be great joy when one sinner turns away from sin. Yes, there will be more joy than for 99 godly people who do not need to turn away from their sins. -Luk 15:7 NIrV

Because it changes the world

"These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also..."  -Act 17:6 ESV

"You are the salt of the earth. But suppose the salt loses its saltiness. How can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything. It will be thrown out. People will walk all over it. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill can't be hidden. Also, people do not light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand. Then it gives light to everyone in the house.
-Mat 5:13-15 NIrV

But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
-Eph 5:13-16 ESV

It grieves me to see the moral decline in America. This nation has been blessed by God, but has slowly turned away from Him. The thought of sending my children into a nation like this is discouraging. While many christians want to "take back America", their primary vehicle is politics. Political revivals led to short-term reforms under kings like Josiah, but they quickly faded when new leaders arose, because they didn't change the hearts of the people. Certainly we should pray for kings and those in authority (1 Tim. 2:2), and vote for godly standards. But before the nation or government will experience lasting change, the people's hearts have to turn to God. Only the gospel has the power to affect people this way. We must proclaim the gospel to change the world for God.

Because it obeys God

Until I come, spend your time reading Scripture out loud to one another. Spend your time preaching and teaching.  -1Ti 4:13 NIrV

So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And you can be sure that I am always with you, to the very end." -Mat 28:19-20 NIrV

Because it compels you

But when I preach the good news, I can't brag. I have to preach it. How terrible it will be for me if I do not preach the good news!  -1Co 9:16 NIrV

Sometimes I think, "I won't talk about him anymore. I'll never speak in his name again." But then your message burns in my heart. It's like a fire inside my very bones. I'm tired of holding it in. In fact, I can't.  -Jer 20:9 NIrV

Because it equips you for success

Never stop reading this Scroll of the Law. Day and night you must think about what it says. Make sure you do everything that is written in it. Then things will go well with you. And you will have great success.  -Jos 1:8 NIrV

God has breathed life into all of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right.  -2Ti 3:16 NIrV

By using Scripture, a man of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.  -2Ti 3:17 NIrV

Because it relieves your conscience

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you, for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. -Act 20:26-27 ESV
